Although there is no immunization for the common cold, you can take the following steps to help prevent contracting it:
1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. This reduces the risk of spreading viruses and bacteria. Also wash hands after contact with an infected person or surface.
2. Avoid contact with infected people. Cold viruses are often spread through close proximity so keeping a distance for the duration of the cold is ideal.
3. Engage in a healthy lifestyle. Eating well, (consuming foods and drinks high in vitamins and antioxidants) exercising, getting enough sleep and avoiding stress are great ways to build your immune system to prevent infections.

Adults and Children (> 4 years):
At the first sign of a cold: One spray 3 times per day into each nostril.
To moisten dry nasal lining: One spray 1-3 time(s) per day into each nostril.
