SENOKOT®-S is a dual action constipation treatment: a natural senna laxative plus stool softener for gentle overnight relief of occasional constipation and hard dry stools.

The stool softener in SENOKOT®-S is docusate sodium which helps to draw water into the intestine, making it easier for hard dry stool to pass through.

The natural senna used in SENOKOT®-S is extracted from the deseeded and dried pods of the Senna Alexandrina flower.

Senna has been used as a natural laxative for thousands of years to relieve constipation. The senna in SENOKOT®-S works by enhancing the body’s natural wave-like contractions in the colon (peristalsis) to help promote a bowel movement.

SENOKOT®-S typically takes effect in 6-12 hrs and can be taken at bedtime for gentle overnight relief of occasional constipation and hard dry stools.

MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS: Standardized sennosides from senna and docusate sodium.
NON-MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS: cornstarch, D&C Yellow No. 10 Aluminum Lake, FD&C Yellow No. 6 Aluminum Lake, guar gum, lecithin, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol, silicon dioxide, sodium benzoate, talc and titanium dioxide.

ADULTS & CHILDREN AGE 12 AND UP: 1-2 tablets at bedtime.

Max Daily Dose: 68.8 mg standardized sennosides, 400 mg docusate sodium.

CHILDREN AGE 6-11: ½ to 1 tablet at bedtime.
Per Tablet Dose: 8.6 mg standardized sennosides from natural senna, 50 mg docusate sodium.
Max Daily Dose: 17.2 mg standardized sennosides, 100 mg docusate sodium.

SENOKOT®-S typically takes effect in 6-12 hrs, it is preferably taken at bedtime to help promote a morning bowel movement when experiencing occasional constipation.
